In preparation for the big day, it is important to remember planning your wedding can be hectic and stressful. It can also be fun and exciting. Plan and do as much as you can well in advance so you can enjoy your big day, a day that will last you a lifetime.

Here is a list of things you may need to consider and do:

What type of wedding will you have? Will it be small or large?

What day and time will you choose?

Where will you have your wedding ceremony (Here are a few places you consider, your home, beach, function hall, or a hotel)?

• Will you write your own vows or use traditional vows (remember the ceremony is the most important part of your wedding)?

Where will you go on your honeymoon?

How will you decorate your ceremony?

What will you and your bridal party wear?

What type of flowers will you choose for bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.?

Who will photograph or videograph your wedding?

Will you have a DJ or musicians?

What music or songs will you choose?

Where will you have your reception?

What type of food will you plan to eat at your reception?

What transportation will you choose (limousine, or you may choose to rent a car such as a Mercedes Benz, or you may even consider a more romantic form of transportation such as a horse-drawn carriage)?

What size, shape, color and flavor will you choose for your wedding cake (have fun and be creative)?

What style wedding rings will you choose?

What style of invitations will you choose (Be sure to mail out invitations 6-8 weeks before the wedding)?
